Kiss-Cut Vinyl Decals - Army - 56th Field Artillery Command - SSI w Br - Ribbon

The 56th Artillery Brigade, now known as the 56th Artillery Command, has a rich history dating back to its formation on September 14, 1942. It was originally constituted as the 56th Coast Artillery Brigade and later reorganized as the 56th Antiaircraft Artillery Brigade. The brigade played a crucial role in World War II, particularly in the defense of Antwerp Harbor from October 1944 to March 1945, where it conducted 24-hour operations during a 175-day bombardment. The brigade was inactivated on June 30, 1991, following the reunification of Germany and the end of the Cold War. It was reactivated on November 8, 2021, at Lucius D. Clay Kaserne, Wiesbaden, Germany, and is currently commanded by Brigadier General Steven P. Carpenter. The brigade's headquarters is located in Mainz-Kastel, Germany, and it serves as the Force Field Artillery Headquarters for U.S. Army Europe and Africa.
