Kiss-Cut Vinyl Decals - Army - 24th Infantry Regiment - Jefferson Barracks, MO - Buffalo Soldiers w Inf Branch
The 24th Infantry Regiment was established on November 1, 1869, by consolidating the 38th and 41st U.S. Infantry Regiments, both of which were composed primarily of African American soldiers. This formation was part of a broader effort to integrate Black soldiers into the U.S. Army following the Civil War. The regiment was initially stationed in Texas, where it performed garrison duties and engaged in conflicts with Native American tribes.
