They Jumped Into Smoke So Others Wouldn’t Burn.
The 555th Parachute Infantry Battalion — known as the Triple Nickles — were the U.S. Army’s first all-Black airborne unit. While the world watched the European front, these men were quietly deployed to the Pacific Northwest on a classified mission: Operation Firefly. Their target was a fleet of Japanese incendiary balloon bombs designed to set American forests ablaze and sow panic on the home front.
The Triple Nickles made over 1,200 jumps. They fought fire from the sky. And for decades, almost no one knew.
This all-over-print crew neck tee puts their story front and center — printed directly into 100% polyester fabric that holds color wash after wash. Assembled in the USA. Built to last as long as the memory deserves.
Know the history. Wear the tribute.
