F Company, 159th Aviation Regiment — "Big Windy" — flew CH-47 Chinooks out of Giebelstadt Army Airfield in the Federal Republic of Germany, deploying into the heart of the Iraq War from 2003 to 2004. This hoodie carries that history on its chest.

Unit History
Giebelstadt Army Airfield, located in Bavaria approximately 250 miles southwest of Berlin, served as home base for F Co., 159th AVN. The unit deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, earning the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and Iraq Campaign Medal ribbons — both represented on this design. The airfield was returned to the German government on 23 June 2006 and now operates as a civilian general aviation airport.
