"Always Willing" — The 284th Field Artillery Battalion
They answered the call from the beaches of Normandy to the frozen forests of the Ardennes. The 284th Field Artillery Battalion — nicknamed "Helpmate" — served as the thunder behind the advance, their 105mm howitzers shaking the earth across five major European campaigns: Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes-Alsace, and Central Europe.
Activated June 25, 1943, the 284th was built from the ground up by battle-hardened NCOs returned from overseas — men who knew what it meant to serve under fire. This hoodie carries their DUI, their motto, and their campaign ribbons — a wearable tribute to the crews who kept the guns firing.
