Die-Cut Magnets - DUI - 49th Armored Division X 300
The 49th Armored Division, also known as the "Lone Star," was an armored division of the Texas Army National Guard during the Cold War. It was active from 1947 and was called up for active duty between 1961 and 1962 during the Berlin Crisis. The division was reformed in 1973 as the sole Texas division and was redesignated as the 36th Infantry Division in 2004. It was the last armored division remaining in the United States Army National Guard. The division's history is marked by its formation, active duty, and eventual inactivation and reorganization into separate units.
