The 5th Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment, also known as Saber Squadron, was stationed at Camp Mobile in South Korea before it was inactivated and later reactivated at Camp Humphreys. The unit served at Camp Mobile between 1988 and 1996 and was known for its Air Cavalry operations, including the deployment of the first Shadow v3 unmanned aerial system (UAS) from the base.
