The 48th Field Artillery Battalion was not a component of the 7th Infantry Division during the Korean War; instead, the division was supported by various artillery units, including the 213th Field Artillery Battalion and later the 169th FA Battalion. The 7th Infantry Division participated in key actions of the Korean War, such as the major offensives of late 1951 and the 1952-1953 battles. The division and its attached artillery units were crucial to combat operations in the Korean theater.
