The 25th Infantry Regiment was a United States Army regiment active from 1866 to 1957, known as a "Buffalo Soldier" unit that served in the Indian Wars, the Spanish-American War, the Philippine-American War, and World War II. The regiment saw significant action in the Pacific Theater during World War II as part of the 93rd Infantry Division and participated in operations against the Philippine nationalist movement. It also served in the post-war occupation of Japan after World War II, ending its service in 1957.
