Constituted 2 February 1901 in the Regular Army as the 28th Battery, Field Artillery, Artillery Corps.
Organized 11 October 1901 at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.
Reorganized and redesignated 13 June 1907 as Battery B, 4th Field Artillery.
Inactivated 1 September 1927 at Fort McIntosh, Texas.
(4th Field Artillery assigned 17 March 1930 to the 2d Cavalry Division; relieved
23 September 1932 from assignment to the 2d Cavalry Division).
