Royal Lions. Armor Branch. Built to Break Through.
The Armor Branch crossed sabers represent one thing: the willingness to close with the enemy at speed, with steel, and with overwhelming firepower. The 81st Armor Regiment — the Royal Lions — has been producing the soldiers who carry that standard for decades. The 3rd Battalion, assigned to the 199th Infantry Brigade at Fort Moore, serves as the Provost battalion for the Maneuver Center of Excellence — the Army’s combined arms training hub where the next generation of tankers and infantrymen are forged.
This mug pairs the Royal Lions identity with the Armor Branch insignia — the version for the soldier who wears the branch with pride and wants both on their table. Start every morning with the branch that leads the assault.

About the Unit
The 81st Armor Regiment (Royal Lions) currently has two active battalions. The 1st Battalion is assigned to the 194th Armor Brigade at Fort Moore, Georgia, training enlisted Armor Crewmen and Armor Maintainers for the U.S. Army and U.S. Marines on the M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank and M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle. The 3rd Battalion is assigned to the 199th Infantry Brigade and serves as the Provost battalion for the Maneuver Center of Excellence at Fort Moore. The Armor Branch insignia — two crossed cavalry sabers — traces its lineage to the horse cavalry and represents the speed, shock, and firepower that define armored warfare.
