Unit Heritage:
The 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile) deployed to Vietnam in 1965 as the first full division-sized airmobile unit in U.S. Army history. The 2nd Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment was part of this storied division, and C Company was among the rifle companies that bore the weight of the ground fight — patrolling, engaging, and holding the line through some of the war's most demanding terrain and conditions.
