Born from the Thunder of Five Combat Jumps
The 509th PIR "Geronimo" T-Shirt carries the legacy of America's first airborne warriors — crafted for those who honor the history behind the insignia.
Unit Heritage
The 509th Parachute Infantry Regiment — nicknamed "Geronimo" — made history on 8 November 1942 with the U.S. Army's first-ever combat jump, flying 1,500 miles from England to seize Tafarquay Airport in Oran, Algeria. Activated at Fort Benning in October 1941, the 509th completed five combat jumps across North Africa and Europe during World War II. Wearing this shirt means carrying that legacy forward.
