When coalition forces crossed the berm into Iraq on March 20, 2003, the 31st Air Defense Artillery Brigade was there — providing critical air and missile defense coverage during one of the most complex combined arms operations in modern U.S. military history. Operation Iraqi Freedom’s opening invasion demanded precision, coordination, and courage under fire. The soldiers of the 31st ADA answered that call.
