Wear the Mission. Honor the Men.
Activated on June 1, 1944, the 502nd Bombardment Group was one of the last combat groups formed by the Army Air Forces — and one of the most impactful. Armed with the legendary Boeing B-29 Superfortress, they deployed to Guam in April 1945 and began striking the Japanese home islands with precision and purpose. Their decisive attacks on Japan’s oil industry from August 5–15, 1945 earned them the Distinguished Unit Citation — a mark of valor that echoes through history.
After V-J Day, they flew show-of-force missions and brought prisoners of war home before standing down on April 15, 1946. Their story is worth wearing.
