SSI - 8th Ranger Battalion - Ranger Diamond - WWII X 300 Classic License Plate

The 8th Ranger Battalion, also known as the 8th Battalion (Parachute), Royal Ranger Regiment, is a specialized light infantry unit of the Malaysian Army. It has been a part of the elite Ranger Regiment since 1973 and has undergone significant changes over the years. The unit's diamond insignia, known as the Ranger Diamond, has a rich history, with its first approval for wear by all Ranger Battalions on July 26, 1943. The diamond insignia was initially worn by the 2nd and 5th Ranger Battalions stateside and carried to the European Theater for the Normandy invasion. However, both battalions later abandoned the diamond insignia in favor of unofficial scrolls. The pattern insignia that was later adopted by the 75th Infantry Regiment on July 26, 1984, is the one that is currently associated with the 8th Ranger Battalion.
