Army - 54th Signal Battalion - Command Control - US Army - DUI X 300
The 54th Signal Battalion was originally formed as the 54th Signal Battalion on 18 October 1927, but was not activated until 10 February 1941. During World War II, the Battalion fought in two campaigns before it was inactivated on 29 December 1945 at Camp Kilmer in New Jersey. Nearly seventeen years elapsed before it was inactivated on 1 August 1962. It would go on to serve in thirteen campaigns during the Vietnam War and was awarded three Meritorious Unit Commendations and a Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross.
