The 24th Infantry Division, nicknamed the "Victory Division", was a US Army unit with a history spanning World War II, the Korean War, and Operation Desert Storm. In Desert Storm, the 24th ID spearheaded the Allied Coalition's attack into Iraq, notably advancing 260 miles and destroying significant Iraqi military equipment. The division was later reflagged as the 3rd Infantry Division as part of a larger force reduction.
