The 92nd Military Police Brigade (92nd MP Bde) is a military police brigade of the Puerto Rico Army National Guard. It was established on 15 February 1959 as a separate combined arms brigade during the Pentomic reorganization of the Puerto Rico Army National Guard. The brigade includes two MP battalions, two infantry battalions, and various support units. It has a rich history, having been racially segregated during World War II and the Korean War, with formations consisting mostly of Puerto Rican enlisted men and National Guardsmen. The brigade has undergone several reorganizations, including being established as a separate combined arms brigade and later as a Maneuver Enhancement Brigade. The current formation retains two of the former brigade infantry battalions and integrates additional military police, combat engineer, and support units. Maneuver Enhancement Brigades are designed to bridge the operational gap between Brigade Combat Teams and Functional Support Brigades.
