The 2nd Ranger Infantry Company, also known as the "Buffalo Rangers" or the Buffaloes," was the only all-Black Ranger unit during the Korean War, serving under the 7th Infantry Division before being attached to the 187th Airborne for a combat jump at Munsan-ni. The unit fought valiantly in key operations, such as Operation Tomahawk and the capture of Hill 581, before disbanding in August 1951.
